The opening of the Ohio State Fair took a tragic turn as one person was killed, and seven others were injured after a ride broke apart while running.

The Fireball is a popular carnival ride at most fairs, and was loaded with riders shortly after the Ohio State Fair kicked off.  In the video below, you can see the shocking moments that the ride started to fall apart.  I want to let you know now that the video is shocking, tragic, and not for everyone.

An 18 year old man was thrown more than 50 feet from the ride, and pronounced dead at the scene. Seven others were injured, with three of them in critical condition.

Ohio Governor, John Kasich, ordered all of the rides be shut down and inspected before they could operate again. The rest of the fair will open as normal this morning.  Kasich expressed his condolences on Twitter.

I want to issue another warning before you watch the video of the tragic accident.  It is unedited, and could be very disturbing for some.

If you have any reservations at all, please do not watch it.
