10 Year Old Boy Fearing for His Life, Calls Police on Dad for Driving Drunk

If you're looking for courage, talk to the 10 year old boy who feared for his life and called the police on his dad for driving drunk.  I can only imagine how scared the young man was while in the car with a reckless driver. 

The 10 year old boy and his 12 year old sister were in the car while their dad was driving drunk at high speeds.  The boy called the police and confessed he was scared they would crash and die.  At one point of the 911 call, he told the operator that he wanted to jump out the car while it was moving.

The phone call was lost between the brave boy and the operator.  Connecticut State Troopers were soon called to a two car crash which the boy's dad, Owen Gilman, rear ended a Jeep Cherokee at a high rate of speed.

Luckily, no one was seriously injured during the crash which resulted in everyone going to hospital.  According to WNEM, the father was arrested and charged with the following,

reckless driving, operating under the influence, failure to drive at a reasonable distance, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, risk of injury to a minor and assault with a motor vehicle.

I am truly encouraged by the bravery of the 10 year old boy who knew he needed help.  The father placed so many people lives in jeopardy by driving drunk.  I am glad no one was killed however the father really needs help.  Please leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
