The Flint School Board has announced that 12 more teachers have been pink slipped, and that more cuts could be coming very soon.

This is beginning to sound like a broken record, and nobody is happy with it.

The facts have not changed though, and a shrinking school district with a growing deficit, is doing what it can do to survive.

WJRT reports that Interim Superintendent Larry Watkins says that next week there will be special board meeting to go over the budget for the 2014-15 school year.  There could be  announcements of more cuts coming from that meeting.

I realize that we've talked about this A LOT lately, but we have to be approaching the tipping point right?

I mean, we can't continue to cut, cut, cut, cut without expecting something to just fall out can we?

The money is the driving factor, and that is indisputable.  So when does someone finally stop this pattern of small cuts, and redesign the blueprint for Flint Schools based on the new reality?
