A Michigan boy is in trouble with the law after police say he stole his parents’ van and drove it through the front door of a liquor store in hopes of stealing some booze.

Reports from The Associated Press indicate that the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department responded to an alarm on Friday morning at the Frenchtown Liquor Shoppe. When they arrived on the scene, they found a van crashed into the front of the liquor store and a young kid loading the vehicle up with copious amounts of alcohol.

Yet, police decided not to bust him there. Instead, they followed the boy a short distance up the road before making the arrest. He was taken to the Monroe County Youth Center.
