Fatal automobile accidents in Michigan are increasing, and 2016 marked the most deadly year since 2007 according to law enforcement.

The Office Of Highway Safety Planning say that deadly auto accidents are on the rise with over 1,000 fatal auto accidents alone in 2016.

At least 1,021 people died in automobile accidents in Michigan in 2016, which is the highest rate since 2007.

Law enforcement say wearing your seatbelt and texting while driving could lower your risk of dying in an auto accident.
