4-Year-Old Michigan Girl Runs Almost A Mile In The Dark To Save Her Dads Life

Chris Lucas of Iron Mountain has his 4 year old daughter Cadence to thank for saving his life, after she ran a quarter mile in the dark to get help when he was knocked unconscious.

Chris was unloading scrap metal when a piece struck him on the head and knocked him out.

Cadence ran a quarter mile in the dark, down a dirt road to the nearest neighbors house.

The neighbor called an ambulance and Chris ended up spending the night in the hospital with a concussion and head trauma.

The fact that Cadence knew what to do, and had the courage to do it speak volumes to the job that her parents do with her.  Everyone wants to work as hard as they can to make sure that nothing bad happens to their kids, but sometimes we forget to teach them what to do if something bad happens to us.
