7-Year-Old Girl Killed In Flint’s North Side

7-year-old Zaniyah Dashay Burns was tragically shot and killed on Flint's north side when the shooter missed it's intended target.  

Here we are again dealing with the tragic lost of a young soul due to gun violence in Flint. Zaniyah was just 7 years old when her life was taken by a shooter that was apparently out looking for her 16-year-old uncle. Now, my mind can't seem to understand how can someone so young be wrapped up in such violence?

At 16 I was busy worrying about class and finding another temp job to help pay bills. This young girls uncle had killers looking for him, so he obviously wasn't at home playing Fortnite and talking to girls.  This is a horrendous incident that took the life of an innocent 7-year-old and the suspects are still at large. Flint police Chief Tim Johnson said the girl's 16-year-old uncle was the intended target of the shooting. Michigan State Police troopers assisted at the scene. No suspect information was immediately available.
