A Hip Hop Legend Throws Racist Shots At Jay Z and Eminem [Video]

Melle Mel is one of raps originators, so it seems odd that he would take such harsh shots at two of the iconic figures in rap today, Jay Z and Eminem.

Melle Mel was one of the original members of The Furious Five, and that will forever lock him hip hop history.  That doesn't give him the right to make some of the reckless comments that he made recently about today's rap royalty.

On a recent episode of 'First Family of Hip Hop' Melle was talking about his dislike for today's rappers.  He shocked everyone by pointing out two of the biggest names in the game.

These are just guys posing, Jay, all of them.  He's a white guy, Jay Z is a white guy.  Jay Z's a white businessman.  He's a clown.

The room didn't really know how to react to this off the wall statement.  Melle Mel was then asked about his thoughts on Eminem, and he answered in one line.

Eminem is white.

When others in the room tried to convince Melle that race doesn't have anything to do with lyrical ability, he made another bold statement.  Melle said that he could beat Eminem in a rap battle.

Melle Mel is getting up there in age, but the angry old man syndrome shouldn't be hitting him already.

The part that gets me is that with artists like Lil Yachty, and a host of mumble rappers, why would Melle go after the two guys that everyone agrees are among the best ever.  Check out the clip below and let us know what you think.
