While living in Flint, we have a lot of challenges in the safety area. We didn't rank as the safest town in Michigan but one of our neighbors ranked as number one.

Raisin Township was named the safest town in Michigan. ValuePengiun, a consumer research organization, looked at crime statistics to rank the cities in our state. Residents are thrilled of the news but are not going to change there way of life.

According to WNEM, Raisin Township Police Chief Kevin Grayer says police operations will continue was normal.

“Nothing's going to change,” said Grayer. “The officers know it, yes it's a pat on the back but you can continue to not get complacent, you still have to do your job.”

I could not find where Flint landed on the list but I think we should learn from Raisin Township. We have a tough road ahead in terms of coming together. We have work together with law enforcement to help bring crime down in Flint.
