One could argue that the adidas Originals Tubular benefited from an out-the-gate Kanye West association that, albeit misinformed, was scintillating enough to get people talking. While it's no "Yeezi," it definitely is one of the brand's more anticipated new designs. And in a world where Kanye, Pharrell, and Nigo all play for the same team, that's no small feat -- which is exactly why the model is our Sneaker of the Week.

The sneaker is set to release this weekend in three colorways, which are all dope in their own right. But if you wait a few days, you can get your hands on a limited-edition adidas Consortium drop. This special release comes in stark black and white -- but the lack of color is more than made up for with materials, as it swaps the neoprene and smooth leather found on the general release for mesh, suede trim and rich-textured leather.

The first wave of releases is available now at Sneakersnstuff, with the adidas Consortium colorways coming on Nov. 28. The small-batch Consortium drop is going to move fast, so we'd suggest picking up a pair of the general releases now in case you can't snag the limited ones. At $119 a pair, the Tubular is affordable enough to grab both.
