An Amtrak Train Derailed In Jackson Michigan

According to Mlive.com an Amtrak passenger train derailed this morning in Jackson.

The train collided with a semi truck just after 8am this morning in Portage township.

There have been a few reports of injuries, and according to WLNS reporter Abby Grimmett.

She says the dining car is completely off the track on one side, and the engine is off the track on the other side, and track is "torn and twisted."

She also says about 100 passengers are standing around outside - she sees only one person being tended to by an ambulance.

The train left Pontiac this morning and was scheduled to arrive in Chicago before noon.
