Anderson.Paak is one of the most talented musicians in the game right now, and the California native stopped by NPR's Tiny Desk Concert with his band, The Free Nationals, to prove it.

The rapper/singer/producer's most recent album, Malibuwas met with critical acclaim, propelled by songs like "Season/Carry Me" and "Am I Wrong" featuring ScHoolboy Q. In the set, which lasts just a little over 15 minutes, Anderson starts off the drums, as they run through the Hi-Tek produced "Come Down."  Next, they went into the jazzy-mellow, "Heart Don't Stand a Chance" with Anderson spitting about why "the idle mind is a dangerous place to be left in" before sliding into the swinging hook.

He joked that The Free Nationals are not only talented, but they're his only friends before sliding into the mid-tempo, lovelorn jam, "Put Me Thru," from the Malibu album, which apparently is about guitarist Jose's ex.

They took requests for the last track as well, and a surprised Anderson answered the call to hear "Suede," joking that he thought the crowd was too "cultured" to want to hear that song because he "talks a lot of s---" on it.

All in all, the set was jamming, and a clean cut example of Anderson's multidimensional musicality. He's set to appear at OneMusic Fest in Atlanta in September if you're inclined to see him live.
