Andre Drummond Will Be Patrolling The Paint In Detroit For The Long Term [Video]

Pistons fans are still sore over the first round sweep at the hands of the Cavs, but the future is bright, and there is some serious work to be done concerning Andre Drummond.

Drummond is going to be a free agent, and will be earning some major money with his next contract.  Pistons owner, Tom Gores was asked about the possibility of giving Drummond a max contract to keep him in Detroit.  You can see from the video above that his answer is pretty simple.

We want Andre, and to me, I don't think there's a lot of question about it.

Considering it's Gores who signs the checks, that's about as ringing of an endorsement as you can get.

The Pistons are starting to build the kind of core that they had in the early 2000's, and the rest of league had better be ready.  With Reggie signed on long term, and Drummond about to be, this is going to be a good Pistons team for a long time.
