An angry husband accidentally killed his friend for flirting with his wife on Facebook. I think we can concur that the 'poke' feature is social media flirting.

According to The Mirror, Scott Humphrey, 27 years old, beat up his friend Richard Rovetto after he caught him flirting with his wife on the book. Scott told Richard,

"If you're such a good friend why did you poke my missus?"

During the beating, Richard hit his head on pavement causing a fatal injury. Scott fled the scene but later turned himself in. The judge sentenced Scott to four years in prison for his beat down of his friend over Facebook flirting. The judge was stated saying the following during sentencing.

"You didn't intend to kill him. Part of the tragedy is that it's left to chance what happens. There will be a fight like this somewhere tonight and the person will get up and go home and the police will never hear about it."

I would have to know the extinct of the flirting to justify the beat down. Unfortunately, someone died over social media flirting.  The moral of the story is stay off Facebook if you're not secure in your relationships.
