Are There Any Reasons To Break Up With Someone Via Text Message?

Breaking up with people via text message is now acceptable in 2012.  While in people in Flint are fighting for Public Act 4, telling someone it is over via text has passed.  Check out this list of situations where a break up via text message is supposedly acceptable.

According to GIZMODO it is okay to break up via text message due to one night stands, casual dating, booty call, and ailing long distance relationships.

I have never broken up with someone via text message but after seeing the list, there are some points I can agree with.  It should be okay to break up with someone over a booty call and one night stands but I am indifferent about casual dating and ailing long distance relationships.

When you are in a ailing long distance relationship, both partners have invest some time and emotion that should consider more than a text message to break things off.  Even casual dating brings along enough emotional and time investment to consider more than a text message to end the relationship.
