Flint's Atwood Stadium was in dire need of renovations, and now that they're nearly done, the historic field is finally ready for a busy football season.

The improvements are part of a $2 Million project that began when Kettering University took ownership two years ago.

The field will be home to Flint Public Schools, along with Flint Powers playing a few home games under the lights as well.

Atwood will hold 11,000 fans, and the concessions areas have been improved too.  After the packed football season, Atwood will be open to more high school sports like Soccer or La cross.
