National 9/11 Flag Touring the United States
After the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, one of the largest American flags damaged during the attacks continued to fly above the resulting wreckage during the clean-up efforts.
Seven years later, that flag, dubbed the National 9/11 Flag, was sewn back together by tornado survivors in Greensburg, Kansas, and has also been stitched by World War II veterans, survivors of the Ft. Hood, Texas rampage, and Martin Luther King Jr.’s family.

Next Season of ‘Desperate Housewives’ Will Be Its Last
ABC has announced the upcoming eighth season of dramedy ‘Desperate Housewives’ will be the show’s official swansong.
The news caught some by surprise, since stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, and Eva Longoria are all signed on through 2013, and ‘Housewives’ creator Marc Cherry has said he wanted the series to run for nine seasons.
Cherry won’t serve as executive producer/showrunner this fall, but he’s expected to be involved as a consultant while also developing other shows for the network.

So when she was in Michigan recently, she busted out her best white-girl rap on a cover of Detroit-native Eminem’s iconic song, ‘Lose Yourself.’ The delighted crowd sang along as she channeled Slim Shady and then segued into a cover of Uncle Kracker’s ‘Smile.’
