I have heard of several brave women and today a woman used a toy gun to scare a masked man from her home.  I guess he didn't want to wait to see if things were real.

Jane Rainboth was laying in bed when the home intruder startled her. Quickly, Jane grabbed her son's toy gun from her nightstand and yelled to the intruder she had a gun. The fake gun worked because the intrude ran out the house while Jane chased him down.

Rainboth spoke with the Sun-Sentinel how believe-abe the plastic toy gun was to the intruder.

"I guess if somebody tells you they've got a gun, you don't want to stick around to find out if it's real or not."

The brave woman was so believe-able that the local police thought the gun was real. After chasing the robber away from the house, she pursued him in the neighborhood.  The police found her and told her to chill out with the gun.

"They said, 'Put the gun down, put the gun down!' " Rainboth recounted. She explained it was only a toy.

"They said, 'Lady, put the gun down!'"

The intruder was found hiding in the neighborhood and arrested.  Jane Rainboth was brave enough to use a fake gun to scare a intruder away.  I am happy she didn't have to use the gun because it wouldn't have shot anything. I really believe it is time to purchase a big dog and real gun.

Do you think the woman did the right thing by using a fake gun to scare off the intruder?  Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
