New details in the Newtown Connecticut elementary school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary are coming forward along with the tragic rumor that up to 18 children have been shot with 27 people dead.

There is a police press conference scheduled that will update us on the current situation which is rumored to have at least 27 people dead with 18 of them being a child.  You can watch that press conference here.

As a parent of a Kindergartner I can’t begin to express the worry that runs through my heart right now.  You always have a small amount of fear or anxiety sending your child off to school, but most of that revolves around grades and behavior. I’ve never even imagined that a shooting is even possible.

The breaking information that NBC is reporting that up to 20 children have been shot is inconceivable.
