The Buena Vista School District will be dissolved by the state after they were unable to secure financial support by yesterdays 5pm deadline.

Since last week, school district leaders have been scrambling to try to get a loan so that the district could open in the fall.

Superintendent Dr. Deborah Hunter-Harvill has been in contact with banks and entrepreneurs. They all told her that they could not help save the district.

Now parents are forced to find a different option for their students this school year.  The community is invited to come and ask questions this Wednesday, July 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Buena Vista High School.
