While some may frown upon a rapper showing off their wealth, it’s always good to see a rapper give back to his community in a big way. On Friday (Nov. 4), Cam’ron was in an extremely giving mood as he delivered hundreds of sneakers on the streets of Harlem, New York.

The Dipset founder had to empty out of his storage lockers when he kept thousands of sneakers. According to Cam, he stored an estimated 1,600 pairs of kicks. He then went on his Instagram account to announce that he's dumping all of his sneakers on 141st 5th and Lenox in Harlem.

In the videos above and below, you can see people grabbing as many sneakers as they can. One woman was putting sneakers in a couple of trash bags. She told Cam'ron that she was going to send them to her family in the Dominican Republic.

"Do you have any more?" she asked Cam, to which he replied, "I can get you more."

From what we can tell in the videos, it looks like Cam gave away some really cool shoes. We spotted some Magic Johnson converse kicks, some rare Air Jordans, Air Force 1s and Timberland boots (just in time for winter).

Props to Cam'ron for his altruistic act in the hood. Hopefully, other rappers will take note and clear out their closets and give back to the needy.
