I actually saw someone post on Facebook that 13 years ago today, Bill Pullman led the world to independence against an alien invasion . . . and that was the real reason we celebrate.

While I'm 90% sure he was kidding (only 90 because you just never know), the idea does have some merit. Some people took it to the streets of NYC to see if they could inspire people.
