Chance The Rapper's joint project with Childish Gambino has been talked about for a while, but after two years of speculation, it feels like more of an urban legend than anything else. With that in mind, fans will be happy to know that the project is still happening.

"Hawaii then LA, back to work. #roscoeswetsuit," Chano wrote on Instagram along with a photo of the two.

During a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio, Chance confirmed that the project will be getting released at some point in the future--just probably not any time soon. “The tape is not done or close to being done, but it will come out," he said during the interview.

Chance and Childish first announced their joint effort back in 2014. During a Reddit Ask Me Anything session last May, Chance revealed that the project was still in the works, but we haven't heard anything about it since. Considering how busy the two multifaceted entertainers have been, it's easy to understand why.

This past fall, Childish starred in Atlanta, a new FX comedy he created himself. The series earned rave reviews from critics and gave him a ton of momentum heading into the release of Awaken, My Love!, which also earned a ton of praise from fans and critics alike.

On the other hand, we have Chance, who pretty much solidified his status as a rap superstar with last year's Coloring Book. "No Problem" and "Angels," which are two singles from the project, earned heavy airplay throughout 2016. The project as a whole helped Chano earn a whopping seven Grammy nominations.
