After surprising fans in 2016 with their joint Christmas project, Merry Christmas Lil' Mama, Chance The Rapper and singer Jeremih are teaming up again this holiday season to re-release the record as a tape with new tracks.

Producer Bongo ByTheWay revealed the news, telling Rap-Up, "It's gonna be a little bit of both, but pretty much, it's gonna be a completion of that project." He added, "We just put it out for the culture, for the fans and stuff. Now, we’re really finishing it up and we’re gonna put it out right. It’s gonna have new music. It’s gonna be mixed and mastered and everything.”

With Christmas quickly approaching, the producer admits that yet-to-be-titled effort is still being worked on. "We're literally still putting it together. It's gonna be one of those [where] everything is gonna come together super fast."

The original Merry Christmas Lil' Mama dropped three days before Christmas in 2016, and featured nine songs with contributions from Zaytoven, C-Sick, Bongo, The Social Experiment, Francis and the Lights and DJ Gant-Man.

Up next for Chano, the Chicago rapper will host the Nov. 18 episode of Saturday Night Live. In a recent promo for the upcoming episode, the rapper can be seen breaking into dance with cast members Beck Bennett, Kate McKinnon, Pete Davidson and more. Chance will be joined by musical guest Eminem during the episode.
