Chris Brown has been dropping singles left and right — but most of them aren’t actually from his upcoming album. The latest to hit the Web is ‘Calypso,’ a midtempo banger with plenty of hand claps and a lot less raunch than his recently dropped tracks.

In fact, while a lot of Brown’s recent work has consisted of bedroom jams or straight sex-drenched lyrics, in ‘Calypso,’ he actually says he wants to take it slow. Classy, Breezy! The song has a beat reminiscent of an island, which makes sense with the tropical title. Perhaps it’s an ode to his Barbadian ex and possible current hookup Rihanna?

It’s a refreshing and unique spin on a lot of the songs Brown’s released recently, including the ever-dirty tracks ‘One More Time‘ and ‘Countdown.’ Brown has also released two videos for non-’Fortune’ songs ‘Till I Die‘ and ‘Don’t Wake Me Up, as well as a remix to ‘Oh Yeah‘ featuring 2 Chainz and Snoop Dogg.

‘Calypso’ is available on iTunes now, but won’t be on ‘Fortune.’ ‘Fortune’ will hit shelves on July 3. Hopefully these songs will tide Team Breezy over in the meantime!
