We might be celebrating Breezy's career with this list of the Top 10 Chris Brown Songs, but Chris Brown himself also has a lot to celebrate. He's finally back on top after enduring some highs and some very personal lows in his career. Although many haven't forgiven him for his domestic violence incident that occurred with Rihanna in 2009, he seems to making amends by releasing several chart-topping hits. The Virginia native is determined to reclaim the R&B throne that he once ruled as a youngster in 2005, and he seems well on his way after snagging a 2012 Grammy for his 'F.A.M.E.' LP. Hopefully, Breezy's new album 'Fortune' (due July 3) will further his progression. So in celebration of Brown's 23rd birthday today, May 5, here is PopCrush's list of the Top 10 Chris Brown Songs.

Chris Brown Run It

10

'Run It!'

Feat. Juelz Santana

Here's the song that kicked off Chris Brown's music career. Released in 2005, 'Run It!' spent five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Brown's self-titled debut album went double-platinum and earned him his first two Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Contemporary R&B Album. Not bad for a 16-year-old teen sensation at the time.

Chris Brown Wall to Wall

'Wall to Wall'

From Brown's second album 'Exclusive,' the 2007 club thumper 'Wall to Wall' was produced by Swizz Beatz and written by Sean “the Pen” Garrett. The accompanying music video, which lifts elements of Wesley Snipes' vampire flick 'Blade,' featured Brown performing some amazing choreography. Evidently, it showed that Brown was a major force to be reckon with in the R&B game.

Chris Brown With You

8

'With You'

Brown is known for his uptempo songs, but on 'With You,' he slows it down and offers his romantic side on the acoustic guitar-driven ballad. Produced by Stargate, this top Chris Brown song proves that not only was Brown a talented dancer, but that he could also make the ladies swoon. “The love to my fans is the inspiration for this song,” he told German magazine Bravo Hip-Hop Special. “I sing it particularly for them.”

Chris Brown Kiss Kiss

7

'Kiss Kiss'

Feat. T-Pain

'Kiss Kiss' was another major hit from the 'Exclusive' album. The bouncy single features T-Pain rapping by way of Auto-Tune and went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it Brown's second chart-topping hit of his career. This top Chris Brown song, in which the R&B crooner sings about youthful infatuation, also went double-platinum and generated another great dance-filled music video.

Chris Brown Forever

6

'Forever'

'Forever' appears on the repackaged 'Exclusive: Forever Edition,' and was early indication of Brown's musical direction as he headed towards singing more dance tunes. It's catchy as hell (props to producer Polow da Don) and was a No. 1 hit in several European countries where Eurodance is big. Interestingly, 'Forever' was originally recorded as a commercial jingle for Doublemint gum and later Brown extended it into a full song. The rest they say is dance-pop history.

Chris Brown Crawl

5

'Crawl'

2009 was a rough year for Brown. After attacking Rihanna just hours before the 51st annual Grammy Awards in February, the singer was eventually charged with felony assault and making criminal threats. His third album 'Graffiti' was a commercial flop and it seemed that nobody wanted to be associated with him. 'Crawl' sounds like a public apology to Rihanna for his past mistakes. Although Brown denies the song is about RiRi, we can read between the lines.

Chris Brown Beautiful People

4

'Beautiful People'

Feat. Benny Benassi

'Beautiful People' is Brown's ascension into the dance-pop genre that he flirted with on 'Forever.' This track, which comes in at No. 5 on our list of the best Chris Brown songs, is from his comeback album 'F.A.M.E.' and became his first No. 1 dance single. In 2011, Brown told MTV that he wanted to inspire people with the song. “We have a lot of tragic things going on and the world needs to come together as a whole and stop the negativity,” he said.

Chris Brown Deuces

3

'Deuces' (Remix)

Feat. Drake, T.I., Kanye West, Fabolous + Andre 3000

The original version of 'Deuces,' featuring Tyga and Kevin McCall, appeared on Brown's 2010 'Fan of a Fan' mixtape and landed atop the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The track became so popular that Breezy was able to tap veteran rhyme-slingers Drake, T.I., Kanye West, Fabolous and Outkast hitmaker André 3000 for the remix. Talk about an all-star lineup.

Chris Brown Turn Up the Music

2

'Turn Up the Music' (Remix)

Feat. Rihanna

Another dance-pop song but with a twist! On the remix version of this top Chris Brown song, the singer was able to get his ex Rihanna to duet with him on the track. When word got out of their collaboration, Music critics and fans alike voiced their disapproval of RiRi working with her former abuser (they also collaborated on her 'Birthday Cake' remix). In any case, the song help nabbed Brown his first No. 1 U.K. single.

Chris Brown Look at Me Now

1

'Look at Me Now'

Feat. Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne

Leggo! Undoubtedly, this was Brown's official comeback song and his most well-received track to date. The 2011 single was produced by Diplo and Afrojack and featured a standout, fire-breathing cameo from Busta Rhymes. The song spawned thousands of covers on the Internet, most notably from pop duo Karmin. For their impressive efforts on this track, which is No. 1 on our top Chris Brown songs list, Breezy, Bussa-Buss and Weezy received a Grammy nod for Best Rap Performance. Look at Brown now, he's still getting paper.
