It seems like ages since Ciara delivered her bedroom banger 'Body Party,' but now the singer returns with another new track, 'I Bet.'

Produced by Harmony Samuel, the catchy mid-tempo track finds her singing of a past lover who will care for her once she's moved on. "I bet you start loving me / As soon as I start loving someone else / Somebody better than you / I bet you start needing me / As soon as you see me with someone else/ Somebody other than you," she sings.

The 29-year-old, who released her self-titled album in 2013, also throws in a few lines that allude to infidelity in a relationship -- perhaps a jab at ex-fiance Future? "And I know that it hurts / You know that it hurts your pride / But you thought the grass was greener on the other side," Ciara delivers.

Ciara co-wrote 'I Bet' with Theron Thomas of Rock City and tells Billboard that the track "will be very meaningful for a lot of people. It is much bigger than any one person's experience."

While she hasn't confirmed or denied how much this song was inspired by her relationship with Future, it does carry some emotional weight. Since she's known to be on the private side, we're pleased to hear her get in touch with her emotions here.

No word on an upcoming album just yet, but we're sure this is the first sign of more new material to come.
