Curren$y's output is truly unmatched as very few MCs can rival his discography. The New Orleans rapper has put out a ridiculous amount of music since 2008, and it seems he's got no plans to slow down at all. Spitta appears to be back to his old ways of releasing a new project every month too as he just sprang a new mixtape called Weed and Instrumentals on his fans.

The new project harkens back to that 2008 mixtape era of Curren$y's music as he employs a lot of a classic instrumentals instead of original production. Curren$y's latest mixtape includes 17 tracks with lots of guest appearances by his Jet Life family. Fiend, Mr. Marcelo, Corner Boy P, Le$, TY and Tiny C-Style all make contributions to Weed and Instrumentals.

This tape serves as Curren$y's third release of 2016 after previously dropping the Owners Manual EP in January and the Alchemist collaborative work The Carrollton Heist in February. Despite releasing all of this free music, Spitta is still pushing his latest album Canal Street Confidential. That LP dropped back in December through Atlantic Records and Curren$y's own Jet Life Recordings imprint.

Curren$y will also be a part of the 2016 Rolling Loud Festival, which takes place May 6-7 in Miami. The "Bottom of the Bottle" rapper is included in an impressive lineup that includes Freddie Gibbs, Future, Young Thug, Robb Banks, Lil B, Kodak Black, Lil Uzi Vert, Da$h and Playboi Carti among others.
