In March, Nick Catchdubs revealed that Danny Brown was done recording his new album. Today (June 10), the Fool's Gold rapper took to Instagram and posted a photo of himself alongside Top Dog Entertainment's engineer, Derek "MixedByAli" Ali. The caption states that the two are putting the finishing touches on Brown's upcoming still-untitled album. View the photo above.

There is still no release date for the highly anticipated follow-up to 2013's Old. The caption of the Instagram photo reads, "Me and the bruh bruh @mixedbyali putting the final touches on my next masterpiece #Bruisers get ready Stanny Crown season approaching."

It's been a long time coming for Danny Brown's new album. The toothless, frohawk-bearing artist took a break from the recording process in April 2015 to pursue other endeavors. "I took a break from it cause I'm so ahead of schedule with it knowing it ain't coming out no time soon"” he announced via Twitter. He devoted some of that extra time to writing a children's book to empower young black girls. Brown's 13-year-old daughter inspired the project.

If you want to hear some recent music from Brown, check out his verse on Avalanches' new single, "Frank Sinatra." Also, be sure to peep his collaboration with Westside Gunn called, "Bodies on Fairfax" and listen to his verse on the "Hella Hoes" Remix alongside A$AP Mob and Aston Matthews.
