Desiigner has seen his popularity skyrocket to new levels recently. While he was in New York City, XXL got him to briefly discuss meeting Kanye West and signing to G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recordings.

"Meeting Kanye West was a blessing," he says in the video above.

The 18-year-old Brooklyn native released "Panda" about two months ago and since then, the record has taken off. After making its round on the web and hitting the airwaves, "Panda" became the hottest record out right now and Desiigner instantly turned himself into a hot commodity.

Rumors first began to bubble regarding the signing last month. TMZ spotted Panda at LAX with ‘Ye as they blasted tracks. Earlier this month, Hot 97 and Apple Music personality Ebro tweeted that Desiigner had indeed signed to G.O.O.D. Music and sent out a congratulations. "Desiigner is now 'GOOD Music'... Congrats," he tweeted. At that time, neither Kanye nor Desiigner had commented on the signing.

That changed last week (Feb. 11) at the Yeezy Season 3 collection and album listening show at Madison Square Garden. Kanye West unveiled that the young MC had signed  to G.O.O.D. Music. Desiigner is featured on Ye’s new album, The Life of Pablo, on “Father Stretch My Hands Part 2,” which is produced by Kanye West, Menace and Rick Rubin.

If you haven't seen any video of Desiigner, his in-studio performance of "Panda" for DJ Enuff will show you why the 6-foot, 5-inch spitta is so interesting; his energy is insane. Once he's onstage, the feeling is electric and he's dancing throughout the whole performance. His dance moves are becoming a viral hit. So we got him to breakdown where he developed the fancy footwork. Watch that video below.
