Desiigner has been dismissed by several listeners and critics as a potential one-hit wonder. It's not hard to see why:  his hit "Panda" has been inescapable for months, there hasn't been a serviceable follow-up, and he's been derided as a Future clone from the moment the song hit and he appeared on Kanye West's The Life of Pablo album.

But the Brooklyn rhymer is determined to prove all of the naysayers wrong. He was featured alongside 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane, Quavo and Big Sean on "Champions," West's posse cut from the upcoming Cruel Winter project; but fans are still pondering what the 19-year old has coming up next.

Well, looks like he has given an answer. Sort of.

Desiigner posted a clip on Instagram that features some of his new music. The song title is unknown currently, but features the hardly-innovative themes of "choppers," swag and balling on his foes. Or his friends--who knows?

One-hit wonders are nothing new in hip-hop; obviously the genre's history is full of names like Young MC, Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz, MiMs and a host of others. But in recent years, the phenomonon has been under increased scrutiny, as labels have scooped up young artists like Kreayshawn, Trinidad James, Chief Keef and Bobby Shmurda, signed them to high-profile deals, milked their internet buzz, and then unceremoniously dropped them within seemingly months of their breakthrough.

Jury's still out on Desiigner. Here's hoping he can make a go of this career thing.

Check out the IG clip above the story and decide for yourself if he can duplicate the success of "Panda."
