Detroit Lions Fans Ranked Among The Top In The NFL

When it comes to loyal fans in the NFL, the Detroit Lions fans are some of the best.

Think about it, what other group of people has struggled through more than the Lions fan base?

Years of bad drafts, missed playoffs, star players that retire or leave.  It's not easy rooting for the Honolulu blue and silver.

That's why Detroit is ranked in the top five when it comes to most passionate fan bases according to Sports Cheat Sheet.

The science and numbers that they use to come to their conclusions can be thrown out the window when it comes to the Lions. Any team that can go winless for an entire season, and still sell out home games deserves recognition.  Don't event get me started on the fact that Lions fans pay more for beer than most any other NFL team.

The top three NFL fans are the Saints, Packers, and Steelers.

Notice anything about those three teams?  They've all won the Super Bowl in recent memory.

The Lions? No.  Have we been to the Super Bowl?  No.  Do any of us expect to go to the Super Bowl anytime soon? No.

Yet, here we are.  Cheering for our team.  Honestly, we should be number one on the list.
