Niko Goodrum is new to the Tigers, but since moving to Michigan he knew he wanted to do something to help Flint.

Goodrum is following through on his promise today (Monday June 11th). He purchased more than 1,400 cases of water, and will be helping to give them out today in Flint.

According to WNEM, Goodrum will join volunteers from the United Way and Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to give out the water. The water distribution starts at 10am today. You can pick up water at Bethel United Methodist Church on Ballenger Hwy.

You have to respect anyone who will actually come to help give the water out. I've always felt like donating is a two step process. Anyone can just write a check or donate items, but it takes dedication to a cause to actually put your feet on the ground. Salute to Niko for putting his hands on the donation!
