Speculation about a Fresh Prince re-boot came to a fever pitch earlier this week, when it was reported that the team behind the popular 90s sitcom had filed a trademark for the "Fresh Princess," indicating a new version of the show could be on the way soon.

But when HipHopDX caught up with DJ Jazzy Jeff at  in Krakow, Poland at he Red Bull 3Style World Finals, the legendary deejay and former co-star of the series said he think Chance The Rapper would make a great "Fresh Prince."

“I think Chance would be a really good Fresh Prince cause Chance always seems to have a lighthearted demeanor," Jeff said when asked to name a rapper who embodies Will Smith's "Fresh Prince" vibe. "He’s got a serious side to him but Chance is always smiling. Chance is always trying to do something really positive. I think Chance would be a really good Fresh Prince.”

Although Jeff's sentiment is certainly nice, all indicators are pointing toward the reboot having a female lead this go-around.

On the music tip, Jazzy Jef has always staid busy. He's currently set to make an appearance at the Soundset Festival, which takes place over Memorial Day Weekend at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

As for that Fresh Prince reboot, we'll have to see how that pans out.
