DJ Khaled has landed his first No. 1 album, as his new project Major Key has taken the top spot on the Billboard 200.

The LP, Khaled's 8th, gained 95,000 equivalent album units in the first week out (including 59,000 traditional album sales). Major Key knocks Drake's Views down to No. 2 after spending 12 consecutive weeks in the top spot. Drizzy shouldn't be too upset, because his song with Khaled "For Free" is now the No. 1 song in the country.

Khaled announced his major achievements on Instagram with a video collage backed by an epic score. "We have the #1 album #MAJOR🔑 !! And #1 single #FORFREE FEAT @champagnepapi. At the same dam time," he proudly captioned the clip. "Good afternoon Happy Sunda. FANLUV WE DID IT !! We !! We the best!! Team work!!! I have tears in my eyes of JOY!! We work so hard !!!!!! We worked very very very hard !!!We never gave up!!! I never stop!! Tell THEY🚷 I SAID Hi!!!! And tell them this #MAJOR🔑 and #FORFREE #1 in the country !!! @wethebestmusic @epicrecords @rocnation @applemusic."

Earlier this week, the We The Best boss thanked fans in a touching open letter. “Fan luv where do I begin to thank you for your consistent support,” Khaled wrote. “For inspiring me to be the best I can possibly be. For giving me the strength it takes to go out in the world aka the jungle to bring you the best possible version of me. Fan luv over the years we have become closer as a family. Fan luv was there when I was a young DJ ripping down any club that would allow me to display my God given talent. And if THEY wouldn’t let me in, I would rip the hinges off the door to deliver you the best show on earth."
