Out of nowhere, DJ Khaled joins the cast of one of the more anticipated movies of the next year.

On Tuesday evening (Jan. 15), the We the Best Music Group boss jumped on to Twitter and announced that he's joining Will Smith and Martin Lawrence for the production of Bad Boys for Life, which is the third film in the popular Michael Bay-helmed franchise.

"Blessed to announce that I will be joining @willsmith and @realmartymar in the cast of @BadBoys #BadBoysForLife movie," Khaled wrote in the since-deleted tweet. "May I remind you, it’s only Jan 15th, 2019. Y’all have no idea what’s coming. I’m coming for the Oscars!! God Is The Greatest!!!"

According to Variety, Khaled has just joined a cast that includes the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Jacob Scipio, Paola Nuñez and Joe Pantoliano. Khaled's role in the film is an unspecified one, but it isn't hard to imagine Khaled flexing his comedic muscle.

While Khaled doesn't have an extensive acting background, he did appear in the 2002 film Shottas. He also makes a cameo in 2017's Spiderman: Homecoming.

Bad Boys for Life is slated to be released on Jan. 17, 2020.
