One week after securing the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, DJ Khaled's "I'm the One" has officially gone gold. It's only been out for about three weeks, meaning it's probably well on its way to platinum status. Khaled recognized the accomplishment with an Instagram post.

"Bless up fan luv !! ANOTHER ONE #IMTHEONE OFFICIALLY #GOLD And the rec only been out for 2 weeks .. WOW BE PLATINUM any day now @wethebestmusic @epicrecords @rocnation FAN LUV THANK YOU IM SO #GRATEFUL ," he wrote in the caption for the post, which included a photo of the "I'm the One" cover art.

Powered by features from Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Quavo and Lil Wayne, "I'm the One" was always headed for the top—and DJ Khaled knew it. The irrepressible DJ, who recently covered the spring edition of XXL Magazine with his son, Asahd, had been teasing the track for at least a couple of weeks before its release.

While Khaled's vocals on the track are limited—which is usually the case with any of his tracks—the DJ definitely has a talent for maximizing the abilities of the artists he brings together for songs. Speaking with us for our most recent cover story, Khaled described some of the qualities that give him the ability to make hits.

"The records I make, they’re hard to pull off. Some of these artists wouldn’t do that for themselves. So, that’s an energy alone to do that," Khaled explained. "When you work with DJ Khaled, if I make a phone call and say, 'Yo, hey, I got this record I want to present to you. A record that I’m telling you, it’s gonna be amazing.' For them to say, 'Come on, bring it over. Let me hear it,' because they know I hit home runs…They know I make great music. They know I’m coming with a positive energy. They know I’m not coming with no fuckery. They know I’m coming with love and Khaled gonna make this go, and it’s gonna be a moment and the fans are gonna love it. I’m about the people, you know?"

With his track record of success, it's safe to say Khaled's got a point. Shout out to Khaled. We can't wait for Grateful. The Spring 2017 edition of XXL Magazine is on stands now.
