DMX, The LOX and Rakim Moved the Crowd at 2017 Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival [VIDEO]

Although DMX had a tough week, the veteran rapper kept his word and performed at the 2017 Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival on Saturday (July 15).

According to Billboard, X was in peak form - unlike his dismal performance back in April - and performed many of his classic hits including “Where My Dogs At,” “Who We Be,” “They Don’t Know” and more. The Ruff Ryders MC closed out his set with the mediative “Slippin’,” which he dedicated to his “warriors.”

Fellow Ruff Ryders members The LOX also rocked the crowd and filled their set with an endless catalog of hits. Rappers Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch ran through a medley of group songs including “Wild Out,” “All About the Benjamins” and “Money, Power, Respect." They also performed individual tracks with ‘Kiss performing “Why,” Ghost rapping “Good Times” and Sheek performing “Kiss Your Ass Goodbye,” among others.

Finally, after performing at the Paid in Full 30th anniversary concert earlier this month, Rakim moved the crowd once again at the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival. The God MC blessed fans with a few selections from his expansive catalog including stuff from his solo albums.

But Rakim also allowed other artists to shine in the spotlight. The hip-hop icon brought out Mobb Deep’s Havoc to perform a heartfelt medley that included “Shook Ones Part II.” His performance was equally bittersweet considering that he buried his fallen comadre Prodigy last month.

Rakim kept delivering more surprises. He then brought out Brooklyn’s own Black Moon as Buckshot performed Enta Da Stage tracks “Who Got the Props,” “I Got Cha Open” and more. Finally, Ra delivered one more big surprise -- Lil Fame of M.O.P. for a rousing performance of “Ante Up.”
