Donald Glover's highly anticipated show Atlanta is just a month away from its debut. With the series premiere right around the corner, FX is ramping up the hype by releasing six new teasers for the show.

Atlanta will tell the story of Earnest "Earn" Marks (played by Glover) who returns to Atlanta after failing to make a career out of his artistic aspirations. Upon his return, Marks discovers that his cousin, Paperboy, has become the city's hottest new rapper. The cousins' opposing views on art versus commerce, success and race make their respective rises through the ranks a difficult endeavor.

The city of Atlanta's current status as a hip-hop hotbed made it a natural choice for Donald Glover's new series. Earlier this year, Childish Gambino spoke about why he picked ATL as the setting.

"I know it’s going to be very easy for people to say ‘It’s a black Mecca,’ and it is, but I just think that it’s the most American place," Glover said. "Everybody there is like ‘Yo, I got a verse.’ Everybody is trying to make something from nothing. I believe everybody has a situation, and I wanted to show real people in real situations... I wanted to make it a regional thing."

Atlanta premieres Sept. 6 on FX. The first season will consist of 10 episodes. It is a particularly busy time for Donald Glover as he's also filming for the new movie Spider-Man: Homecoming. The actor's role has not been announced to the public.
