Today millions of people across America will celebrate a man whose contributions to our culture today are immeasurable.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. moved people in a direction of unity without violence in a way that no one had before and still have not today.

It's no wonder he has moved people to song, and here are a few that have come from his legacy.

Common ft. Wil I Am - 'I Have A Dream'

Did you know that the 'I Have A Dream' part of his speech was completely ad libbed?  Dr. King had notes that he had been reading from that day, but in response to his wife, and the crowd, broke into his dream.  His speech writers almost stopped him, but after seeing the passion in his eyes, couldn't move.

Public Enemy - 'By The Time I Get To Arizona'

Did you know that only 3 out of 10 business will close to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr?  It amazes me that there are still school systems that still have school today as well.

King Dream Chorus - 'King Holiday'

I have  no idea where this came from, but its definitely awesome 80's.

The Gregory Brothers - 'Autotune The King'

Normally the The Gregory Brothers are busy autotuning news reporters and making them hilarious.  I think they did a good job of paying tribute by doing what they do best.

If you've never watched the entire speech, take some time today and check it out.
