Elon Musk Is Providing Laptops For All Flint Middle School Students

Elon Musk is doubling down on his investment in Flint students with a huge donation to give middle school students a laptop.

It was announced at the Flint Community School Board meeting last night, that Musk was donating $423K to buy Flint middle school students laptops for the next school year.

This comes less than a year after Musk donated $480K to install water filtration systems in all Flint Community Schools.

The school board meeting was very eventful this week with the announcement of the new balanced calendar, and the Northern building being adopted as middle school building.

The new structure will see 7th and 8th grade students in the Northern building for middle school next year, followed by 9th graders in 2020.

Everyone knows that laptops are not the fix that Flint Schools needs, but access to technology like this is a great step in the right direction.
