Things are still looking a bit foggy as far as the status of Fetty Wap's sophomore album, but he's making sure to tide his fans over with new music in the meantime. The "Trap Queen" hitmaker releases his new "Crew" freestyle, which sees him tapping into a new signature element.

Remixing GoldLink's original hit record of the summer, Fetty delivers some softer vocals on the freestyle, making the voice that fans know and love almost unrecognizable. Showing off some of his range to hit higher notes, the Patterson native recruits some serious Auto-Tune for the catchy remix, which can prepare fans for some new experimenting to come from Fetty.

The New Jersey entertainer has seen a slew of delays on his anticipated sophomore album, King Zoo, but he's still been able to provide new tunes for his strong fan base this year. Back in June, Fetty dropped his unannounced Lucky No. 7 mixtape, which came as a surprise to the music community.

His fans are still hoping that his next studio album will see the light of day before 2017 ends, but we'll have to wait for official updates from Fetty or his label, 300 Entertainment, in the future.

Take a listen to Fetty's brand new "Crew" freestyle from his Soundcloud below to hear what he's been cooking up lately. In case you missed it, watch his latest video for "Aye."
