For the first time in months, everyone in Flint is safe to drink filtered Flint water according to a new EPA report.

The EPA had been advising children, pregnant women, and nursing moms to drink only bottled water to protect themselves from lead tainted water.

After a series of tests on the water filters that have been handed out for free, the EPA has deemed filtered water safe to drink for everyone.

Does that mean that everyone will rush to the tap?  Probably not.  Flint residents are very leery of EPA recommendations after the way they originally mishandled the Flint Water Crisis.

Mayor Karen Weaver is happy about the upgrade of Flint Water, but maintains that replacing the lead pipes is still job number 1.
