Flint Councilman Eric Mays is back in the news again. While in legal trouble, Mays will represent himself in his November drunk and driving case.

Mays' former attorney Frank Manley has filed a motion to remove himself from the case.  Manley noted he didn't like the offer he received from the prosecutor.

Elected First Ward councilman Mays if facing five charges stemming from his arrest in November 2013.  Mays was arrested after driving the wrong way on the expressway, having marijuana in his possession, and no proof of insurance to add to his legal issues.

Darnell Early, Emergency Manager, and Mayor Dayne Walling are calling for him to step down.  Mays has since refused.
