The Flint DDA is kicking off the first Fire & Ice Festival Saturday in downtown Flint, and it promises to be a great time for everyone.

The Fire & Ice Festival runs from 2-8 p.m. and the feature attraction is a portable synthetic ice rink.  The ice side of the festivities will also include live ice carvers, and an ice bar in the lobby of the Capitol Theater.

The fire side heats things up with a chili cook off, fire breathers and fireworks at the top of every hour.

The event is free and runs from 2 until 8pm.  You can join the event on Facebook here.
