Flint Homicides Up In 2015 Despite Crime Being Down

There was a dramatic increase in the number of homicides in Flint during 2015, but the overall crime numbers were down from a year ago.

The total number of homicides in Flint was 31 in 2014, but that number skyrocketed to 53 in 2015.

The increase in homicides is disheartening, but there is some good news.  The overall crime rate in the city of Flint actually went down 9% in 2015.
