Flint made the top 50 most bed bug infested cities in the country list, but we are doing better than other Michigan cities.

The timing of the list is fairly auspicious as news came out earlier this week of a possible bed bug problem from Beecher Schools.

Luckily I've never had to deal with bed bugs, which is crazy considering I have stayed at hotels in 6 of the top 10 cities on the list.

I've always heard that getting rid of bed bugs is as easy as just burning your house to the ground . . . that's sarcasm, don't actually burn your house down.

Flint has a pretty bad track record of coming in near the top of bad lists like this, but not this time! Flint is the lowest of the Michigan cities on the list. Detroit ranks 7th, followed by Grand Rapids at #19. Lansing is new to the list at #31, and Flint barely squeaked into the top 50 at #46.

Orkin compiles the top 50 list every year based on commercial and residential treatments. Check out the top 50 below and try not to think about all of the hotels that you have stayed at in those cities . . . that's what I'm doing at this very moment.
