A new survey about the Flint Water Crisis was just released, and it shows some of the real feelings that Flint residents are having because of the water issues.

400 Flint residents were interviewed last month in an effort to see how the water crisis is really affecting people living in Flint.  The results weren't shocking, considering how bad the crisis has gotten, but they're still a painful reminder of what's going on in our city.

  • 87% said that they have been directly impacted, and are forced to use filters and bottled water.
  • Less than 50% said that they're home has even been tested for lead.
  • More than 50% of people don't trust that the filtered water is safe to drink, despite what health officials have said.
  • 21% want to leave Flint because of how the water crisis has affected them.

21% of people want to leave Flint?! In a city where the population is shrinking by the minute, we can't afford to have almost a quarter of the people leave!

Any public official needs to look at this survey, and use it as added motivation to fix this tragic situation.  If things keep moving as slow as they have been, there might not be anyone left in Flint to save.
