Flint's public schools got some good news today as US Education officials announced a $480,000 grant to help deal with the long lasting effects of the Flint Water Crisis.

The Flint schools have been going through one of the toughest periods in their history recently, and the water crisis only made things more difficult.

US Education officials will be in Flint today to talk about the money that is being given to the schools.  The money is aiming to help Flint schools deal with attendance, discipline, and mental health problems stemming from the Flint Water Crisis.

This money will be in addition to the millions that the feds are supposedly bringing to replace the crippled water infrastructure.

Club 93.7 and Townsquare Media were one of the first organizations to help the Flint Schools when they had to turn off the tap water.  Our Safe Water Flint campaign provided enough bottled water to last the entire school year.
