Flint TJ Maxx Closing, Moving to New Location

Well, it's time to say goodbye to another store in Flint as the TJ Maxx off Center Road will be moving to a new location in the fall.

According to WNEM, the new location will be the old K-Mart building in Fenton. There is no further information on the exact date the store will be closing (October) or any sales.

That whole strip mall used to be hoppin' back in the day when Blockbuster, Target, Party City and others were there. Now it's like Deadsville when you pull in the parking lot. It's pretty sad to see so many businesses closing up in that area.

On a side note, I really wish they would put something in the old KMart location in Grand Blanc. That is a primo spot, I can't believe it's been vacant this long. Anybody hear any rumors as to what they could be putting in there?
